See How Kai Havertz React To Thomas Muller One-on-one Golden Chance Missed Against England

Kai Havertz has jump to defend Thomas Muller after the Bayern Munich forward missed a golden opportunity to rescue his side in their Euro 2020 last-16 tie against England.

Both parties are failed to broken the deadlock until 75th minutes when Raheem Sterling put the England ahead after brilliant cross from Luke Shaw.

Five minutes later the City star’s wayward pass presented Kai Havertz with the opportunity to put Thomas Muller through on goal.

The Bayern Munich forward, who scored twice in the Germany 4-2 win over England at the 2010 World Cup, looked certain to score but dragged his shot agonisingly wide of Jordan Pickford’s right-hand post.

Muller sunk to his knees in disbelief and his error was compounded shortly afterwards when Harry Kane’s diving header confirmed a landmark victory that sent England into the quarter-finals.

Reacting to Muller’s decisive miss, the Blues attacking midfielder said: ‘No (he doesn’t often miss those opportunities) but all offensive players had good chances so it’s not only about Thomas it’s about everybody the whole team.

‘We could’ve created more chances, we didn’t do that so it’s very tough to take that. England has a good squad, good players. We have them too of course and we are very disappointed to lose the game but we have to keep on going and it’s hard to take for us.’
