Albert Sambi Lokonga has made perfect start to life in London after the Belgian international produced series of impressive display in middle of park for Arsenal in recent months.
Lokonga, 22, produced stellar performances for Anderlecht last season, with attracted the Gunners to sign him this summer to begin their rebuild project.
However, the signed of Belgian international certainly looks a fine piece of business for Mikel Arteta, after he shown adaptability in Arsenal’s midfield and looks at home with fellow midfielders such as Partey or Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
Lokonga has played in six games in all competitions and looks promising enough for Arteta’s liking. The Belgian will likely get more starts after Xhaka was ruled out for nearly three months with a knee injury.
Moreover, his bold playing style has impressed those watching on from the stands, with many calling for the manager to give him more starts in games.
Strong, quick in the tackle, but good on the ball as well, you could even draw comparisons with Brighton star Yves Bissouma, who the Gunners courted all summer.
Lokonga will prove a great deal for Arsenal. These games will help him, and even if Xhaka does come back in to replace him, everyone will benefit from this run of games he’s getting.
