Joel López Salguero has continued to showcased series of impressive performances for Arsenal U23S after netted a fantastic goal in 2-2 draw at Manchester City in past weekend.
The 19-year-old left-back, who joined the London club from Barcelona academy, consistently delivered standout performer for Arsenal’s young side.
López, who is effective and forward-thinking on the ball, scored a stunning strike to put Kevin Betsy’s side ahead of the host and also provided solid display in Gunners back-line at City in past weekend.
His stellar performances against City caused attention of majority of Arsenal fans do comparing to ‘next Kieran Tierney’ who establish himself as one of pivotal player under Mikel Arteta.
López is drive and ability to work tirelessly down the left-hand side, while his crossing has become a feature of his play as he’s developed, with his technical ability everything you’d expect of a player developed at La Masia.
He’s predominantly left-footed, meaning should Kieran Tierney and Nuno Tavares get injured, Arteta may look at him as a more viable option than Sead Kolasinac who has been asked to leave the Emirates last summer.
