Nuno Tavares has been delighted after mark his Arsenal debut with amazing goal in the pre-season friendly matches against Rangers on Saturday evening.
The 21-year-old left-back, who joined Arsenal from Benfica in a region of £6.8m this summer, started for Mikel Arteta’s side in their pre-season friendly against Rangers at Ibrox Park yesterday.
The Portuguese youngest, using his right foot to scored one of the goals in the Arsenal 2-2 draw against Scottish champions, while also made some very good runs forward and was defensively strong as well.
After the Matches, Tavares, who signed as a back-up to Kieran Tierney, interview by Arsenal media, asked about how feel after mark his debut with amazing goal.
The 21-year-old, then, admitted that he excited about his performances, especially scored a lovely goal as equasile for his new club.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta also was excited about the defender performances and believed there is alot to come from Portuguese star.
Arteta told Arsenal’s official website about Tavares: ‘A great debut with his right foot as well!
‘He’s only been with us a few days but you can already see his qualities, his physicality and then the quality on the ball that he has. He’s integrating with the lads really well, so it’s a good start’.
