Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed he expects to welcome ‘some new faces’ to the club before their pre-season trip to the United States of America.
The Gunners’ only arrival of the summer transfer window so far has been Nuno Tavares, who took just 23 minutes to get off the mark for his new club in Saturday’s pre-season draw with Rangers.
Deals for Ben White and Albert Sambi Lokonga are also expected to be wrapped up as soon as possible after the north London club reach an agreement with their respectively side’s.
And ahead of Arsenal trip to USA for the Florida Cup on Wednesday, Mikel Arteta has teased some more incomings with likely to be included in his squad for the tournament.
‘Now a little bit of recovery,’ Arteta said. ‘We trained really hard, played two games, and now we’re going to be travelling to America in the next week.
‘We’re going to have some new faces arriving probably, so very positive,’ Arteta told Arsenal Media after Saturday’s game.
It’s understood that Albert Sambi Lokonga is only player that can be available for Arsenal trip to USA, since already in London some weeks ago.
Concerning the deal of Ben White, it can be confirm bext week, but the England international will not part of Gunners squad that trip to USA due to taking part in Euro 2020.
Manuel Locatelli and James Maddison are two players, Mikel Arteta’s recruitment team working hard to get the deal done in order to bring glory back to Emirates after a disappointing campaign that saw the Gunners missed out European football for the first time in 25 years.
