Just In: Timo Werner’s Agent Broken Silent On His Client future at Chelsea Aimd Interest from Real Madrid

Timo Werner’s representative has clarified the German forward will be staying at Stamford Bridge this summer amid rumours of a move to Real Madrid.

The 25-year-old striker joined the Stamford Bridge outfit last summer from RB Leipzig in a region of £47.5million, but only managed six goals in the 35 Premier League appearances for the Blues.

Werner’s current current contract with the club isn’t due to expire until 2025 and his agent, Karlheinz Forsterbe, has reassured Chelsea fans that he isn’t going to leave anytime soon.

Speaking to German news outlet Sport1, he said: ‘You can’t rule out anything, but if I had to assess it at the moment, then I would say very clearly that Timo will stay at Chelsea,

‘He feels comfortable there. A move will not be an issue in the foreseeable future’.

Werner on the other hand, admitted happy to stay and fight for his place in Thomas Tuchel’s squad despite the Blues interest in signing a new centre-forward this summer.

Speaking after the Champions League final, the German international discussed his disappointing season and made it known he wants to stay at Chelsea.

He said: ‘In terms of scoring and missing chances, it was the worst season. But in the end I still have 27 goal contributions.

‘I think I’m the first in our team for that, so it was not everything bad and I don’t think about leaving the club this year, for sure not.

‘And also for the next year because I think we have a very good team and I hope to come back to scoring and that I can do everything that’s expected of me.’
