Jose Mourinho Want Chelsea Favourite Star At AS Roma Next Season After Blues Agreed To Let Him Depart

Jose Mourinho has expressed interest in bringing Kurt Zouma to AS Roma this summer, after the Blues told the defender to find a new club, according to reports in France.

Zouma, 26, joined the London club in January 2014 for £12m from Ligue 1 side Saint-Etienne, and has spent loan spell away from the club at Stoke and Everton since then.

The Frenchman featured regularly under Frank Lampard but struggled to secure a regular role under Thomas Tuchel, whose preferred back three consisted of Thiago Silva, Cesar Azipilicueta and Antonio Rudiger.

As a result of that, Zouma is consider leave Stamford Bridge this summer as he looks for a fresh start, while reports by Telefoot, claim Chelsea are also open to selling the French defender with Jose Mourinho consider a move for him.

The Portuguese manager was announced as new AS Roma manager in May after he was sacked from top job at Tottenham, and is keen to strengthen his squad with potential new face with including Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka.

Zouma has become emerged target for Portuguese coach, who is huge admires of Frenchman’s quality especially in term of tackle.

Wolves are believed to have been interested in signing the defender, but the 26-year-old has declined their advances while Tottenham and Everton are among the other English clubs keeping tabs on the situation.
