Jack To Emirates: Mikel Arteta Deliver Epics Of Possible Return Of Englishman To Arsenal

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Jack Wilshere could make his return to Emirates but unlikely to play for the club again, despite the Englishman keen on wearing the Gunners shirt again.

The Gunners’ former fan-favourite has been without a club since leaving Bournemouth at the end of last season.

During last week’s press conference, Mikel Arteta has confirmed the door was always open for his former team-mate, who broken into Arsenal first-team at 16-year-old.

The statement got Arsenal fans across the continent wondering whether Wilshere could make a sensational return to the Emirates, after leaving three years ago.

Wilshere has been established himself as one of best midfielder in the world of football, but injury issues have marred the latter stages of his career.

However, Arteta’s latest comments suggest that Wilshere’s return would only be in a training capacity, rather than a full contract.

During Thursday’s press conference, Arteta said: ‘We are in conversations with Jack to understand what he needs, what he’s looking for.

‘We are willing to help him as much as we possibly can. He knows that and that’s the situation.’

On whether he could pull on the Arsenal shirt again, the Spaniard said: ‘I wouldn’t take it that far.’

The news will come as a blow for the more sentimental Gunners fans, who wishes to see the Englishman in the Arsenal shirt again.
