AC Milan have made enquiry about secure the signing of Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Morocco international, who arrived at Stamford Bridge last summer, had a relatively underwhelming first season in the Premier League.

The 28-year-old was arguably Chelsea’s first-choice right winger under Frank Lampard but saw his game time decrease following Thomas Tuchel’s takeover in the second half of the season.

Despite Chelsea are no intention of bring in another winger or attacking midfielder this summer, potential arrival of new centre-forward could still be bad news for Ziyech.

After all, a new striker’s arrival likely means both Kai Havertz and Timo Werner would spend more time in the two inside forward positions where Ziyech usually operates in under Thomas Tuchel.

Although Chelsea plan to keep him but AC Milan are interested and will make a move for the Morocco international this summer.

‘This is an interesting situation because AC Milan are asking for Ziyech as they are [also] talking about Giroud’s [potential] move,’ the Italian transfer expert told Don Robbie’s YouTube channel.

‘Chelsea are saying that they would not make any discount and they want to keep the player.

‘But AC Milan will try again, so I’m not 100 percent sure he will stay’
