Blues ready to smash transfer record to sign Romelu Lukaku

Chelsea are ready to smash their transfer record to sign Inter Milan forward Romelu Lukaku in upcoming summer transfer window, according to a report in England.

The Blues are in the market for a proven centre forward to lead their attack ahead of Thomas Tuchel first full season in charge.

Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland has been top wishlist of Chelsea but face competition from a host of top European clubs for the 20-year-old signature.

The 20-year-old, who scored 35 goals across all competitions for Bundesliga giant this season, has attracted interest from Barcelona, Real Madrid, Liverpool and Man City.

As a result, the Blues are now switch their attention to Inter Milan forward Romelu Lukaku, who helping his side’s to ended their 11-year wait for the Serie A title.

The Belgian has enjoyed a hugely prolific spell with Inter, bagging 27 goals across all competitions this season and according to The Daily Mail the club’s Chinese owners Suning are in serious financial peril.

As a result, Inter may be forced to sell some of their star players but are desperate not to part with Lukaku, who has been prolific in the two years since his move from Manchester United.

So the Blues have to smash their transfer record by prepared to pay at least £105m to bring the Belgium international back to Stamford Bridge ahead of the 2020-21 season.

Kane, on the other hand, is ready to leave the club this summer in pursuit of glory and the player himself has previously admitted he would look to leave if he didn’t believe Tottenham could challenge for major trophies.

The 27-year-old has been Premier League’s top scorer with 21 goals in 30 games, he also leads the way in the assists charts with 13 so far, meaning he has 34 goal involvements in total across the league season to date.

With Olivier Giroud set to depart from Stamford Bridge this summer while Abraham’s future remains doubt, and pursuit of Haaland is unlikely to continue, Kane has become emerged target for the west London club.

The Blues would love to bring in Harry Kane from Tottenham but this appears improbable given the complications of signing from a fierce rival.
