Chelsea Start Talks To Re-sign Eden Hazard From Real Madrid

Chelsea have reportedly starting informal talks with Real Madrid in order to resign Eden Hazard, who’s struggled since arrived at Spanish capital club.

The Belgian star has endured a difficult two seasons in Spain since joining Los Blancos from Chelsea in an initial £88million, with the talented playmaker mustering a total of just over 1,5000 minutes of league football in the last couple of seasons.

Overall, Hazard has been involved in just 14 goals, despite hitting double digit goal tallies in six of the seven seasons he spent at Stamford Bridge.

Due to injuries and lack of form since arrived at Bernabeu and with Real Madrid working on bringing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to the Spanish capital club next summer, Hazard future at the club will be doubt.

As a result of that, report from El Nacional revealed that Chelsea intend to re-sign Eden Hazard from Real Madrid. It is believed that club owner Roman Abramovich still rates the player highly and believes he can regain his confidence with a move back to the Premier League.

The reports explain in details that, the Blues have already held informal talk with Florentino Perez over the return of Eden Hazard. Meanwhile, Madrid themselves are apparently open to letting the Belgian go, in order to recoup some of the €115 million they had spent two seasons ago.

During his time at Stamford Bridge, Hazard made over 350 appearances, scored 110 goals with additional of 78 assists and helped the club win six major trophies, including two Premier League titles.

The European champions did bring in Romelu Lukaku in the summer, a deal that has yielded some level of success. They are now looking to reunite the former Inter Milan star with Hazard, as the two are teammates in the Belgian national teammates.
