Breaking News: Belgium Coach Roberto Martinez Break Silent On Eden Hazard Feeling

Belgium head coach Roberto Martinez has confirmed that Eden Hazard is ‘sad’ at Real Madrid but believes the 30-year-old playmaker is in his best shape since leaving Stamford Bridge.

The Belgian skipper has been established himself as one of the best attacker in the world of football, but failed to make an impact for Madrid following his £88.5 million move from Chelsea in 2019.

The ex-Lille playmaker has been struggled with various injuries problem since his sensational transfer switch Chelsea. Hazard managed 54 appearances and scored five goals across all competitions during his three seasons at Santiago Bernabeu.

His injuries issues have opened up the possibility of a return to English football in 2022 with former side Chelsea and newly rich Newcastle United both reportedly monitoring him.

However, according to Roberto Martinez, Hazard is ‘sad’ at Santiago Bernabeu, but the Belgium head coach urged the Spanish capital club to stand by the player.

‘Hazard is medically in his best moment since he arrived at Real Madrid,’ Martinez said on COPE’s show El Partidazo

‘He is sad in football terms, this is the first time that he is experiencing this situation.

‘He is a player who has always led winning projects and now he doesn’t have that role, but he is a footballer of exceptional talent and that is never lost, you have to have faith in him.’

With Eden Hazard under contract at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu until 2024, Real Madrid are under no significant pressure to sell him, but they could be tempted by an offer in the region of €60m.

During his time at Stamford Bridge, Hazard made over 350 appearances, scored 110 goals with additional of 78 assists and helped the club win six major trophies, including two Premier League titles.
