Brighton defender Ben White is expected to completing a sensational £50million move to Arsenal this week, reports by expert journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Last weekend, Sky Sports claim that England international White, who went to the Euro 2020 as part of his country’s campaign as losing finalists, is expected to have medical on Wednesday.
Regarding the information, Italian expert journalist Fabrizio Romano appeared to confirmed the deal by admitted that the 23-year-old is expected to completing his move to Emirates this week.
Romano also confirmed that the defender, who impressed on the south coast last year after his first full Premier League season, agreed personal terms with the London club while paperwork signed in the few days ago.
Speaking on the Don Robbie YouTube channel, Romano said: “Ben White will complete his move to Arsenal next week, there’s no doubt. Done deal since days for £50m to Brighton. Personal terms already agreed and paperworks signed in the last few days. ⚪️ #AFC
“Medicals scheduled then official announcement – he’ll be the new centre back.”
White, who also subject interest from Manchester United, could become Arsenal third major signing this summer following the arrival of Albert Sambi Lokonga from Anderlecht and Nuno Tavares from Benfica.
New goalkeeper, attacking midfielder and a wide winger still remains priority target for Mikel Arteta’s recruitment team but fringe players expected to leave before Arsenal make further signing this summer.
