Smith-Rowe has been linked with a move to Aston Villa, who pipped Arsenal to the signing of Emi Buendia from Norwich earlier this month while Real Madrid also said to be interested in services of Englishman.

However, reports by Guardian claim that Gunners chiefs want Smith-Rowe, 20, to commit his future by agreeing fresh terms in the near future.

Arsenal eyeing a summer move for Lazio playmaker Joaquin Correa

Arsenal are reportedly eyeing a move for Lazio playmaker Joaquin Correa as Mikel Arteta keen on strengthen his attacking options ahead of next season.

The Gunners are in market for attacking midfielder with Martin Odegaard top club target to bolster their midfield options.

However, Real Madrid are reportedly unwilling to let the Norway international leave the club this summer especially since appointed Carlos Ancelotti as new head coach.

Gunners, meanwhile, switch their attention to Joaquin Correa, and reports by Sky Sport Italia, claim club technical director Edu is eyeing up a move for Lazio star, who could join in a swap deal involving Lucas Torreira.

Lucas Torreira spent the second half of last season on loan at Atletico Madrid after being deemed surplus to requirements by Arteta in north London.

Arsenal want to sell the midfielder in the summer window, and Edu believes a player-plus-cash deal for Correa, who has scored 30 goals in 117 games for Lazio, could be the best solution.

Houssem Aouar bid prepared

Arsenal failed in their attempt to prise Houssem Aouar away from Lyon last summer, seeing a £30million bid rejected for the attacking midfielder.

But according to The Sun, Arteta and co. are readying another move for Aouar, who could be available for just £20million this time around.

Lyon are reportedly open to selling their star man after failing to qualify for the Champions League, meaning the Gunners are now preparing a £100,000-a-week contract offer.
