Arsenal Given Condition to Sign Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona this summer

Arsenal will sign attacking midfielder, Philippe Coutinho, from Barcelona this summer on one condition.

According to Le10 Sport, Mikel Arteta’s recruitment team will considering sign the Brazilian only if there is good news involving his knee injury.

The Spanish coach is a huge admirer of Coutinho but any move for the 29-year-old hinges on his rehabilitation regarding a knee injury he sustained at the tail end of last season.

The reports explain in details that Arsenal technical director Edu Gasper is  is planning on bringing in at least five new players to Emirates this summer, with moves for two midfielders, two full-backs and a centre-back all potentially on the cards.

Recall that the Catalan giants was keen to sell Coutinho last summer and the player’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, had held talks with Arsenal over a potential deal.

Coutinho, who established himself as one of best attacker in the world of football during his time in Premier League, joined Barcelona from Liverpool in a £145 million deal in January 2018.
