Arsenal Provided An Injury Update On Partey White Gabriel And Nketiah Ahead Of Norwich Clash

According to club official website, Thomas Partey, Ben White, Gabriel Magalheas and Eddie Nketiah could availabile for selection when Arsenal lock horns with Norwich City at Emirates stadium this weekend.

The Gunners trio alongside Nketiah among Mikel Arteta’s squad that taking major part during Monday’s training session at London Colney as Spaniard coach keen on bounced back from three successive league defeats this season.

Partey, who establish himself as one of best midfielder during his time at Atletico, battle with several injuries problem since arrived at Emirates, his latest injury sustained was an ankle in the Gunners’ pre-season defeat to Chelsea last month.

The 27-year-old central midfielder missed Arsenal’s first three Premier League clash with Brentford as well as the defeats to Chelsea and Manchester City, but was pictured back in training with the group ahead of the weekend’s encounter with Norwich City.

Centre-back Ben White and Gabriel Magalheas also returned to the group following Covid-19 infection and a knee injury respectively, with the Gunners seeking to shore up a defence which has shipped nine goals in the Premier League so far this term.

However, after trio taking major part during this week training session, club official website have provided an update on their injuries problem.

According to the website, Partey, White, Gabriel and Nketiah could availabile for selection when Mikel Arteta’s side face the Canaries at Emirates this weekend.

But Mohamed Elneny doubt for Saturday’s game while there’s no update concerning Smith-Rowe illness.

The playmaker has been involved in his side’s first three opening league games so far this season, and his little impressive despite the Gunners yet to record a point this term, earned him a place in England U21s squad.

And ahead of the Young Lions preparing to taking Kosovo on Tuesday night, Smith-Rowe was been omitted from matchday squad due to feeling unwell.

‘It’s not Covid related,’ Carsley told Sky Sports. ‘He was just feeling unwell so we decided to send him back to Arsenal. He didn’t feel 100 per cent so the best thing to do for Emile was to send him back.’

This month Mikel Arteta’s men will kick-off their games at home against Norwich this weekend before trip to Burnley and then north London derby against Tottenham Hotspur at Emirates on September 26.
